Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and on television since the mid 1980s. She has received various honors, including two Golden Globe Awards, and 16 NAACP Image Awards. She is known for her roles in TV and film since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt who lived in New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was about five. Bassett and her younger sister then moved to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after seeing the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
